Two brooed pondcast were chatting all differentkinds of beer related shinanigans from starting a pondcast about beer, some ofthe best astilleries in Austin and throughout the country, and just ourfavorite drinks in general. There's lots of other good stuff in here aroundbuilding a brand, the power of community and why it's important tojust be nice to other people. If you like to get in touch with the show, youcan do so a couple of different ways: reach out via email, Joey, a goodpeople, cool things dotcom or follow the show at Gpct podcast on bothfacebook and twitter. You can also support the show not checking out thenew marge store visit, good people, cool things, dotcom click, the shopbutton and you will be transported to an online store of all kinds of foodword play. But first, let's have our conversation with Kaitlan and Melanieand I'd love to ask to start out what was the first beer that you ever tried?Do you remember? I don't remember the first beer. I doremember the first time I tried beer and it was um back of Li, my aunt andmy uncle. They lived out on a farm and they used to always throw like parties, and it was like adult parties. You know D, All the kids would be around andthey'd get like one of the teenagers to be a babysitter L Ke. This was thenineties, you know and my uncle they would get kegs and myuncle, like, I remember so vividly he like, like you, know, pumped te liketap and then like poured into like a red sellow cup, and he was like youIn't, try it and I was like yeah sure, and I tried one it I was like. Oh, thisis disgusting. If he was like he was like he's, he'llchange, yeur, mind later and sure not yeahhad I similar. For me. I don'tremember the first mear that I had Um. You know on its own, my parents are really cool, and so I do rememberone time going out to a bar with them. I was I don't Kno aybe thirteenfourteen I was, I still had like the exis on the back of my hands and stuff. We were just hanging out and they had nonalcoholic beer, and I was like Oh,like Moi fy one of those and I was like okay- and I remember I got this bottleand I was sitting at the bar and e take a Swig, and I'm like this is disgusting. Why do people do this for fun and I just remember nursing that beer, anoalcaholic beer, the rest of the time ecause? I did not want to drink it. That's funny! That's funny. Could you act like you were like drunkand no but 'cause? I knew it was notalcohol at Al Yeah. That's making me think it did. Have you seen freaks andGeeks? Yes, I love Besia. It is so spectacular, but the UPPOSITE, which Ibelieve it 's, like the second episode of the series where they swap out a Kag,the House Party with Non Alcoholic Beer, and everyone just thinks that they'redrunk. Oh, that's, such a good, show. That'syeah. I say that's m one of my favorite scenes, but I think I say that withlike every scene. From that show, I do too every time. I think I have one it'slike well, no, that that was also very good, too 'cause. I was wondering I waswondering if you were going to talk about when they like did theirfake driver's licence, and it's like this big cardboard cut out of like adriver's licence and you basically goes stand where the ID is, and it's likesome food taking a photo and you get like a big ID. That way like such agood show. Melanie e have Youox Ini, I'm terrible at watching to we need to do marathon come over, it'slike what two and a half seasons. It's it's one season, it's even shorter thanthat yeah. I thought it was like one in half 'cause, then it's like it gotcancelled like abruptly and like half of one of the seasons didn't even makeit to air yeah, it's like all technically one season, but yeah. It'sbasically like what aired and then I think, maybe like a B C family orsomething somehow ended up with the remaining episodes and just like airdthem out of order like several months later, so you get no sense ofconsinuity at all. I I don't know if you notice, nay, but it's got likepeople like some of your favorite, like Aless comedians in it like M, set RoganUm Um, Oh God, what's his name, some ofthe other atricos in their jacen goal, Alin Te Cardolini, who is currentlystring an dead to me if such a gage to do that shows well yeah. We keep ontime. Aou shows I for like ten hours, tecome INTBE boecast. Whenever you want to start one of thosejelly, I am so read. I I'll message you off one. I have. Ihave a good idea for a show. I've been Li, looking at mether shows, and I likewould love to get a show where it's like. You know you follow it. For thewhole, like series and well, I can tell...

...you this'll, be a shameless plug for myother pondcast Ya parks and recked. We have been watching the entire series ofparks, an reck one of our cohosts works in the parks and Reck Department herein Austin, but has never seen the show for so weally. He hadn't at the startof the pockest, but we are our next episode will be the end of season five.So we've we've gotten through a good chunk of the show. That is such a goodidea like I wish I could go back and watch like shows like parks and REC inmy office for the first time Oer. I know so magical. So it's nice, seeing itlike through Wa size as Col as a coited child, hasn't seen her sho. L, probably like I don't know, I'm ethyte person who, like like you, I don't know Holdin on an I'm trying notto like tell all the spoilers and being like. Oh wait till this guy shows up orlike she, he doesn't matter. N He's gone like two seasons, 'cause of like apersonal set drama but jo well, if Yol need any volunteeristpeople who haven't watched any other shows that you're Oinn be talking aboutcount me in 'cause. I am terrible at being on turn to TV nonm in Texn like aday and be like all right. I got a new name for a Pock Im, gonto watch. Thisshow yeah. I look forward to all of this and togetting mily up to in the twenty first century me Di, but before we dive two down too fardown the TV path which I'm sure well get back to at some point. Poncas, let's hear about your podcast. What inspired the five one? Two BRID poccet Melanie Douana go hyeah. So when we when corona fi like was first comingaround D and we were starting the at home corantine and everything y Tex atKatlin one day and I was like Haylen, we should start a podcast like I'mbored, I know you're bord if we have all the second time. Let's sort of codcast and she was like-Oh yeah- maybe like? U Not Loike super into it. I think I was like I think Iwas like Lo yeah and, like like, never said anything back like, but I was Stilli kept. The idea on myhead yeah well, and the thing is, as we didn't really have anything to like gooff of it and so, like we kind of talked about it, we didn't really knowwhat we wanted to do. You know we kindof played around the TDF, making itlike a gossip bodcast or an Austin based podcast or, like you know, patlywanted to do ore. I conspirtscer Er podcast and I was like hard, no onmthat one t'a lot of work that that type ofpotcast yeah and then Gatlyn had a brilliant euphemism one day M for anidea for a name Cate. Let me tell him yeah, so Li e, I kupt the ID on my headand I was like Yo W. I was definitely like looking for wayghts to Cretcontent like different ways like Catong, my head. I was thinking and that it wasI was in by Hallway in my house as late at night, and I just thought of it likewhy? Don't we call it like? We could do this potcast like. Why don't we call tlike five one, two Brod and when I had this idea, it was probably like two orthree weeks after mely first mentioned something to me and Um. I came up withidea because, like five one, two like that's like the area C that we'reliving in, but that's also, it means something else and like going number bynumber like five is a number of dogs that Melanie and I have between us likeshe's got three. I have two um and then one is a number of beers thatwe would talk about in the potcast and then two would be the number of peopletalking about the hear on the potcast, and I was like it ust kind of likereally lines up perfectly five Wen two gred like it sounds: it flows nice off.The tongue and I was like once we had tha idea, or once I had this name idea.I don't know why, with the name that I felt so on bored, I was like artless doit. I told her the name she was fully on bored and we thin itwas. The nextday we spent probably like two or three hours, Liye on a zoom call like kind ofreally talking about what this pod cast would be. Yeah awesome and that's someconspiracy, theory level number analyzing there with the five one too.I lipped it in a sipedit in you. Still, you still got a little taste of it. Youjust Deough et prepare twelve hours for every episode than goodness and thenargue it with everyone on the Internet, but that is the best part yeah. So I think a lot of people have kind ofbeen doing a similar like hey. Why don't? We start a pondcast, especiallywith more downtime, not being able to go out as much, and I think a lot of people are so kind ofhesitant because they think it's this great barrier entry and it's you knowyou need to have all this technical now. How which you might just prove me wrongwith your answer here, but I don't...

...think you necessarily need. So how like? What's your set up like? How did you? How did you get it out into the world? Yeah O? Like I mean I would say like one of thehardest things I think some people struggle with is like I know like ayear ago, I was not comfortable hearing my voice, an video. I never did anyvideo content any audiocontent, but I kind of jus sucked up and got over it,and I know this a big curdle for people, but I mean at first we were doing like zoomcalls. We were doing it with their apple head sets or like headphones. Youknow with the Little Mike built in with wires and which has surprisingly goodquality. If you're on a low budget, I will say those apple earbuds orwhatever the ones with the wires, not the blue, trooth ones, yeah those a comwith the eyphone yeah yeah nd. So we started that perfe episodes. MELANIESMELANIE has a friend who's like an auioeditor and he kind of like message. Her was like hey. Let me help you all like, so he brought him one like he's helpinghis in college right now who lives in Australia, so 's like a twelve hourtime difference. So we went from doing zoom calls to then doing likeindividual boicemen Tho with the same microphone and had said in that way hecould kind of adjust the audio files together, but now we're recordingtogether. Now we just started that last week and wewere using like a blue yetti thanks to melonies brother, yes yeah, so it's been good, I mean it'sdehit learning curp is probably one of the easiest things graned me and melonyare coming in here with experience of like building a brand and creatingcontent and marketing that content. You know my goodness, that seguaded very nicelyand to my next question, for each of you all because yeah this isn't like your firstkind of fore into this type of creating a brand. You both have very wonderfulwebsites and Illo I'll. Let you do zome rock paper scissors to see who goesfirst, but can one of you tell me about your block or if you want to do a fun, this could be feel free to shoot this downimmediately. But if you want to about each other's blogs, oh I like Thatokay, yeah ill. Do that Um? Who Do you want to go fir, HST, noney, yeah, I'll, gofornant, so Kalin and and correct me, Fo Wong, but ae been wrongdid. YouStart Your instrugent or blog first SOM ISEGRAM transition from like a personalinstogram to like my blog anstigram, so like I don't want to like temptany onedo it. But if you go back like over five years, you'll see you know me,hang out win my sororities so stairs and like Moday job and go to college, but currently scrolling down. Yes, I gotios, like two thousand photos oriy think I have over two thousand, so it will take a a while, but I sartedthe block like five years ago and would say the instrogram became a thingwhen I moved to Austin so ISS im, all a all right, all right, so at Catlin, her, you knowliving in Virginia a her and her boyfriend decided to move to Austin andhe's kind of the one who introduced her aft Yo ar scene, which is kind of whatgaught her into like realizing. That beer is like so much more than justgoing a brewery and like drinking beer like there so much fin behind it, andso she's great at this beautiful amazing brand that you know it's not only an amazing, like advocate n voice for the craftbeer industry, but she also shocass how funit is, how you know be or travels how to. You know everything thatencompasses beer, and you know what comes with that. She is an amazing jobof covering. So you know if you ever need to go on a vacation, and you wantto know what breweries to hit up like, there's- probably a Gaitli di, the bigMolmobil guy to help you with that, and yet no she's she's. The reason thatyou know I got kind of inspired in starting my own blog. So I thank hardfor that. You'RE gonna, my Goy Feeli, I'm crying over here. No th t you're totally right and thankyou for saying that t lik as really awesome. If I mis an point, I go for Ityetmalny's got a dot account. She's got a dog, a Sgram, so noim, just no, no okay, Someloni, like most peoplewhen they get dogs, you know they tak whole bunch of phetos and shore them totheir instigrm, acount, FAC, B, coum and guess moonhes all the potentialthere and she decided to provide like so much more value than just likephotos of cute dogs, which she has three of and she's been like, like herblog is not just it's for dog owners, it's not just for cute photos of dogs, like is for people like there's helpful...

...articles on training like on grape or,like you know, travellist, to go traveling with and great places to gosee in the. I almost feel like she's, like what I do for Craftbeor W, whichshe does affer dogs and she's, so good at reaching out and like networking andconnecting and like supporting other content crators, and I really thinkthat's helped her grown and like then not of value that she provides to heraudience is incredible and that's something that always keeps me inspired, because she does so much more than just like a cute little pich of a dog andlike five words Hat's, a quote like she's, actually providing value andhelpful tips and training like notes and helping out local businesses. So Oh yeah yeah I mean I have dogs myself andKerblog is something I use is a resource like regularly personally nowe're, all sobbing now so Sai Thi e, we'll just be fightingthrough tears, it's cool! It's great! It's great. I sounds like twenty twenty Younno dark paths, it's great, no yeah. I think that's fantastic andand totally I always appreciate dog resources as well as someone who recently moved from one to two dogs. I got to thank you. He is great. Is ita puppy yeah he's about a year and four months old now, so he's still got lotsof puppy energy. He is currently awaiting a hip surgery, a Austin petsalive for injury that they think he maybe was hitby a car. U, but he's wh, I didn't know this was a breed, but a Jack Russel, terrier dochson mix. So a jockshund Jackson t like like a boy like a littleboyboy born in like two thousand and nineteen like tha. Go nobody get any ideas. I Bo MissionJackson. He was a little boyborn Om. Twenty nineteen there go. I can't wait. Til, like youknow, this year's list of top baby names comes out and it's like his name's first cockfund and a lot of O ones. Thati'lljust make me shake my head and hiss ill, be so you've both got your your blongsand have kind of been running for a while. What's something that'ssurprised, you about having these accounts Youan go fir, alnl. If you want. I guess I always, and especially when saw withtransitioning, because I did' start out as just like acute dog picture Insigam, where I was not really providing any value or content. Aside from just theCte Don pictures, when I was making the change, I think something that I wasreally scared and like worried about was that I was not really going to bewelcomed into this, like you know you think of it. It's like a click of likelobbers and influencers and like people who you know are running reallysuccessful accounts and I ast like, as I know, started getting out likeinvited out to events and stuff. I was like I gointo fit in and then turns outlike you hear this all the time but like these are normal people andeverybody that I've met is so nice and so welcoming, and I think that was a very welcome surprise. In my opinion. Yeah I mean I don't know like that'sanother thing that I contribute to. My growth is cascess with my blog isgetting connected with the network of blaggers here in Austin, and I don'tknow if that's unique to the city or what but like connecting with them hasbeen so great and it's like developed real friendships. Just like new melonieo Nice, I do feel like it is unique toAustin. I I say this having lived in othercities, but I guess I wasn't really blogging. While I was in those othercities. So who knows maybe there's great blong in communities everywhere, but Austin's definitely does seem very special, and I would even extend thatto the music community too, like everyone is just supersupportive andwelcoming and happy when things are going well for other people, whichseems like a foreign concept to to somer. So it's it's really good to seesuper hepfully, yeah yeah. I would just wrap it. I don'tknow I kindof like sugnit up as the Austin thing, then, because I would saythe same thing about CR like brewries, they're, very supportive and it s hugecommunity with them and they're always helping out with each other whetherit's like, Oh yeah, you can brin my b, our beer here or like. Oh, your Keg,you'R Keor, whatever, like your machine, broke, Yep bring it over. Here you canfill up your kegs here. We ran out of Crowlersthey're, always helping eachother out one way or another when this. Normally that should be like yourcompetition yeah, it's so wonderful to see andwe're gonna we're going to make. You do a little a little more thinking here, but I always think this is fun for people that have booming accounts. Doyou have a favorite or most memorable post...

...um? Do Atlenyo go first? Okay! I guess it's pretty like subjectiveright to like, what's memorable, what's favorite thet, one PS, it's always likesurprises me that does really well or like that. I never see coming that doesreally well takes off something that's shared by everyone. commonant alm toglotagging, but it was like this picture recently recently of me at the Seafoodrestaurant N, Onsin called Telsia Austin and it was me holding up like akeen crab leg and it it's like my highest engaged photo like of the yearto date and like I guess, the past twelve monthstoday and yeah like that's pretty interesting, I've got like a beer inthe corner of the photo, but it's like it's a pretty good, looking crad legoutsavethen that one was really fun just it wasfunny 'cause. I was like out getting that podow and, like my boyfriend, andI were like the lighting wasn't good and, like you know just was I asituation, take a great photo and that was like the one photo I could like. Idon't know scrannish together and I don't know, turned out to be one of mybest photos of the years. So it is a it's Gon, O Bak Crabli Goo thepeople cram. Well, I guess not to bring the mooddown at all, but that's what you're about, but so I have like clmugond. I havethree dogs. My Great Daane was diagnoswith Umfoma about m like sixmonths ago, and I've always been. You know he was atthe time he was agnosed and he's drink. Fine. Now for anybody who's like aboutto two now 'cause, they can't handle it he's fine he's in permission, but so we went thei, Cemeo therebe andI I'd been of attack for a few years and eye itstill. It kindo hit me like awall of breaks when he was diagnosed, so I created Thi plog post to like kindof walk through others who might be going through this experience or youknow, have gone through in the past. You know about what we did and whathelped and what didn't help and the blothe instrument post Rae anounset is.This picture is one of my favorite pictures on Paulo and I um, and that isit's not my most liht picture, but it's definitely that post, where, like I hadso many people reach out and like share their stories and like think me, foryou know, writing my story and and how it's been able to help them go throughthe same thing and to me like that is the main Rason where I was like: HeyI'm doing something that even if it only helps one person like I'm happy so yeah is so much more meaningful inmine. I shouldave picked something like that: Yeso mine's, a crab leg, no, that isthat is a Greaat Phono andthere slse's crab legs are very good. Okay and itwas like Kingcrab, P APALLA's. Also a king he's a sgorgeous like great damewho's. Like I don't know, fivefoot tall he's like poor cups of Pefod like seventimes a day. No, he he's a Chan like he everybody who sees him. Everybody like he puts a smile oneveryone's faces. People cannot like resist themselves when they're aroundhim a they're like my guy cn I'm likeln he's like. Oh sorry, he's Dron all overyou and they're like I don't care, keep a ham, yeah he's a sweet, loaor, big puppy. I remember when I a first adopted myfirst dog I was looking at good apartment dogs and Great Danes keptpopping up on the list which I ther alwas like outrageous and then Iactually met a great dame and I was like I could say this, like they're,Kindo, they're kind of really chill and like super friendly and and like justgreat to get along with. Like I know I I know I mean peoplehavesaid t just when we've been out MELONI WITH APOLLO, but they're likelike that he requires so much energy or, like he's probably a handful of houseand you're like no pretiously just chils in the catch all day y. He justwants to sleep eat and, like drill co, Andrel, yeah B T he doesn'twant to do that. Justo, theuncontrollable druling! You should see my my ceilings. They'recovered anrall ey. This is like a fun time: whare the sealiks covered with trece every time he shakes it just goeseverywhere when we had to move out O we we moved not too long ago. When wemoved out of our last house, we had to take a magiclike get on the ladder andtake a magic aracor to the ceilings, because there was like Trul splatterseverywhere. The craziest part is they have like twenty foot falget ceilings c...

...they have skylights in Everye. This is a bit of a side tangent, but Ijust I I saw something Abat Michael Jordan's, mansion in Chicago is stillin the market. Apparently it's been there for over three thousand days onZilo Woa Ijus, like eight and a half years, or something like that, and Iwas looking at pictures on on. I think it was o business insider. They werejust doing like a tour through his house and just the level of excess isfantastic. I'm surprised nobody snaggd that up yetI feel like that would be you know, kind of for a lot of people like yeah.I live in Michael Jackons, old tows. Yo must have like really bad neighbors. IsS what I people go to like see that single nightright, I ess SOM like Tik talker like next, Oh,no god that would be. I would hate that no mansion would be big enough. He like lines next door to like Jake Po. Well, the article is saying talkingabout you know, building your brand, but whatwas maybe driving people away was that the gate has a giant twenty three on it being. You know Michael Jordan's number, and it's like the the rheel ter, whoever whoever theywere quoting IIS name, I'm Ey, sir. He was like Eightnyeah just a statemenag. It was like people are going to have to do a lot of work to make it their own. It's obvious, Michael Jordan, lived here. Oh my there's, probably like littlelike Chicago bowl like emblems like everywhere and like, and I'm sure like. It's not even like the House number is like twenty three. Whatever drive youknow like twenty, the probably has nothing to do with a propt. You could probably turn the twentythree into like something cool. I don't know like name year, a three lady couldbuy it up ye y office. Exactly I mean it does have a fullbasketball court in there too, like that's God, I was going to say ITW's,something where, like they took out the kitchen and put in like a fullbasketball court. You know that are a a lot of very wealthy basketball fans.I'm surprised, nobody has. You know the prize after that long. It should likereally o Dow yeah. I live as fourteen and a half million half of it's initialasking fors. I know shoot iotly, let's uh, let's get this pine cast rolling. We Ho es on it, monsorship money S, Te Real estateage and sponsor yournexteponeday one day, tr o Hin. You can reach ouraudience. U Heywe can do. I have a brilliant idea.We could do five, one two and then turn the three into a be and make tthe restlike, but brood behind it. Yes, Fifty one twenty three rude. That could be the street game as headdress. Okay, that's happening! Thank you forthe sidetand, the SIU. I think it part an amazing ideas. Can we till your nextepisode? Were you talk about US bying, this house like as a Naoy? Ohabsolutely, yeah, EBE, we'll have a live, live call in from the Ca Oranyeah. Thank you. I grew up in Chicago, so it'll, just Ican stay with my parents. Come popularly. IS THIS CHICAGO? Yes, it'sin Chicago, I'm sorry! Yea! Now I should cit's like wer there, like ninemonths out of the year. That's the best part! That's you know how peoplecomplain about it be summer here frthough. It is not the best part. Iwill. I will vo this. No, but it's not cold. It's like three foot of snow atthe end of March. That sounds amazing. Oh, when it's cold, it's still cold.Yes, I feel like I should look at the chChicago weather right now. It's probably like thirty four degrees. I Ohome man it those withers. I do not miss thosewinters at all. That's like you're out for ten minutesand you get frost FY, it's great. How long do you live in Chicago or thatArea Por? I grew up there so through high school. So, like eighteen years,Yi got an eighteen winters, moon plenty. I feel like it's. It's a L. It's likepeople with straight hair, always wank curly hair and be woth erly hair, aalways one straight hair. I feel like it's sat with like people who grew upin for the most part people who rep in Texas are like. Oh, I want the snow. Iwant the Col and then people who grew up in the north eere like no. I wantI'd rather have o hundred and fifteen degrees every single day, yeah yeah wel.The thing with the snow is like a lot of people. Don't realize this whoudon't grow up in areas O snow, a lot. It's like it's only pretty like Wen,it's snowing or like yeaor like iced over like males of just pardize Iocei. I don't know I grew up inVirginia, so we had winters, but it...

...wasn't anything like Chicago winters, and you know once it snow just a little bit like nobody would drive and I don'tunderstand how any Bodyi drives in the snow. So I couldn't do anything. That'slike hard winter. I've really never had that yeah. I don't know how people drive inthe snow either, and I have done it many times. There have definitely beentimes where I I remember coming home from. I was picking up a takeout Shotouto Peta in in Scok Illinois a great place like four blocks from my parents'house, and I was driving and to get there. It's like one turn, and then Ijust hold on the side of the street got it was coming back, was making thisturn to come back the car just kept going straight, and I was like m allright this. This is where I need to be turning here and then I was up onto thecurb for a second I'm like no, that's, not good and eventually got sorted out,but usually likeas, I say begun super slow, too e h. It was like less than ten miles. I her yeah, and it was I entire. It's like normally when you do something in a car. You expect the carto react, but what you're doing you know you turn the wheel? Tho canterns, not so with snow, no Ju t now, don't then youturn it.It's like slow motion, drifting when you're like turning curves and youbetter help that you're going downhill all the way Godforbe. You have to gouphill, but oh, that's Otoe like I and it's not too Weldan on anno. You can fix it all. I thinkanybody who's listening right now who like lives in the north. It's like! Oh,you just need snow chains, but, like you literally like put chains on yourTyre and it's like no big deal. Yes, Sowe know we know, but an automotive technology. That's wildithat's. What this pot guesses about now! Yeah! That's true! Yeah! THAT'SEVERY SIX MINUTES! We change the feelike. You just reach a new auienceeslike all the audiences, exactly caffering short attention. They canput those tags on your Shell, like T v like car, freks and Gigs Chicano yeah, Michael Jordan. Yes, bastball sports S,Jordan's going to get a shout out on the next, the lascace documentary hey.If his house gets built or or bought after this POCASS, I feel like it'skind of you know. Well we'll get a commission yer at least like Recordaepisode. There yeah, I think, that's fine he's got a cigar room whichprobably just smells terrible, croly AC it probaby stories, you'd hearand there I'm sure it would be well worth I be. I bet there's like a movietheater in there too, and I'm sure he's got a really cool poll. I don't know dopeople in Chicago have pools. Yes, there was an infinity pool in therewith like a thing of grass kind of walking out into it like instead of astaircase down, it was like a little island of grass, which that's qualseemed like maintenance nightmare, but FN anwhen,Youre, a multimillionaire Pagiliana. Like note rf you've got nineteenbathrooms in your house, you're, probably not worried about any MIsinens. I couldn't even nineteen it's like which men ICAN use right now think I'l, TAK, the scenic rout today I haven't been at this one in the farside of the house in like Eight Months: Oh Gosh, lifestyle, wonderful lifestyle and to take another,a quick, little left term, but also kind of getting back to beer, at leastin some regard. I maybe this is again just an Austin thing, but I always likethe artwork that are on cans of craft beer. I so what? What are some of yourfavorites? Or do you have any? Are you just like the plainer the CAN, thebetter I'll say like Don'? I really appreciate the like cansthat look like artwork, but I do I love branding and I love when, like Austin Beerwork, her cans are sosimple and graphic and bold, but you can recognize their branding if theytook away the A and L Ke, even like the beer style. Like you just see thatimage you know, so I really appreciate that, but yeah, I think it als ono. That M. I know. Batch Brurdhouse has a lot of really cool canart and they knewthat the art comes from their their workers, like their employees, submit artwork for the beers or you know they mightcreate a beer for the artwork. So yeah I mean Osinberis have oly stepped it uph in the last like year, or so. I feel like with the art work on cans. I hateto say it, but I really do think it helps sell, bears because, ohabsolutely yeah, who are some of your favorite melmony like it's R, I you know not to Pik Ou backoff of you, but I think I have to I. I...

...definitely I love when Breris likeaustinbere works and like circle brewing theyre their Um can art is verysimple, but you can efinitely tell that it's circle, no matter where you go soI do like when branch you have edith a design and they stick to it an you know, just kind of have like little variable sprinkled throughout, but if I'mlooking for you know a new beer and 'm at the grocery store, the Gass stasionor something I hate to say it, I definitely go for like the eye catchingcans. Yeah, definitely I mean it's just. It can be very overwhelming. Looking atit's just like ing to the bookstore of the library yeah, and you know at leastluckily I can look or we can look at the beer, ca art and be like. Oh that'sa style I also like. So let's definitely do that and that's from acity I went to once and I had a great time there. So yeah, I don't know it'st s a little bit more than looks, but it definitely pulles your eyes intohave and like what could be an interesting. Can Design is so different, like somesomeberies get really artistic with it, and the sound are just like littlegraphic like an no cool little his eye made in illustrator. You know that'sjust like a repetitive like ymbre wave and then like slap thelow, go on it andthen call it. Go S FNE to hearsoit's, really subjective what I ma. What makgsyou go for, Aberre, the Grocery Sore Jaily H. I I don't know if I haveanything that wasn't what you just said, I I do I'm definitely my eyes are drawnto ones with like wackier artwork. I think, but I would say, like carbock brewing, doesa very good job of catching. My eye and there's are essentially just like twotone squares like repeated around the cants. Yes, you can, you can certainlymake it work either way I like Blueoul a lot as well, which they have the Loenthey're kind of playing with, like the top in the bottom of the cans. But Idon't think this is an actual brewery, but I'm thinking like if there was akangaroo like in a giant boot soaring across out and like that, would be awould catch. My Eye andlike yes, but love going to V and just mixing amatching Nany I mean sbs the best, but Andyeahwe can. We can go proper shots to any store that lets you mix and matchofbears but ate to be just grabbing. I like I specifically, will go forbreweries that I have never tried before and in some cases I haven evenheard of and to give just a second plug to parks andwrecked. It's always fun to feature new drinks, every episode, and so we like I've, certainly enhanced expanded expanded. That's theright word expanded my my palate for sure like doing that show just becauseI'm like well, I don't want to say, like I'm drinking the same thing inmultiple episodes, I need to try something new that that Sogress, I knowlike why you like something: Why won't you drink it again? So No, I haven't as an ASS, so 'cause. Ithink we shruggle with this lat and I do with my insigram, but I go to thebeer store and I think I really restrict myself to like Osk the Austinsection and like no camean look at the national craft, Ber brands, you know-and it's just I kindo got to think outside of Auesin, sometimes and it'sNice- to support the local breweries, but there's some really good stuffbeing breed even in other price of Texas. So yeah there's a lot an AAn butgo ahead wel. I was just going to say I agreewith you and like I definitely right now. If you looked at maybe AUcollection like ninety nine percent of it is Austin Beer, which is great, butI feel like lot of the Times too. When you go to the grocery store and likeyou're looking outside of the ACIN section, you don't see it's very rareTi. I E come upon a like an a small craft, rree that's distributing toTexas, which is also like. Yes, I love some of the bigger breweries, but atthe same time Fomili o spend my money I feel like. I always Kindo Wantta, youknow. Part of me is like I have to support my my Mosl small breweries, yeah yeah, exactly yeah yeah and that subways again veryne, I'm all about the segways on the show, as you ly, notichichsGre'reflowing really good, though lkeep ha sap, l beyon. For like another fewhours, I will have watched all the freaks andgaks by the end of it. yesthat's a plan all on Yeah Striak me o you'll, be thanking usby E. IT's fin. One of the things I like to do on thispoguessis ask a question that you wish. You were asked more often, and I verymuch enjoyed yours of when you're, not drinking beer. What are you drinking? Do you want to go firstonaney? Can Ianswer for Katling 'cause? I feel like. I know what shes you answer. Yeah. If you leave out yeah, okay Catland isprobably drinking a roman coke with a...

...slash Alime Thas me Oror any drink with rum, which kind offalls into like tiki cocktails. I get Tahills and get a little complicated, though so I don't really make them too much at home, but if I see Hem at themenu on like Oneminat a restaurant Um and if it's not alcoholic, I love RedBulls and ice cobis with some half and half. I can feel my bones. Like revoltingjust hearing right, I tok a lot of water too. That's goodBouc Ou, it races everything actually Alen, somelony Um. I don't even I feel bad because I D T I couldn'teven begin to guess what your favorite Ist Tkia. No, no, no, that's what youdon't Tacela makes me feicy. I can't to killus for special occasions Noi. Actually, I'm a whiskey girl. So if I see acocktol with whisky, U usually go for it. If not, and old fashioned isusually my might go to drink and it's not alcoholic. I really like Copzero. Iknow that's like kind of basic, but I do like Itation I'll say too umhonestly like when I drink a lot of beer and I get a little bit tired ofbeer. I will go for cider then want something. Pusy, like that, I couldjust pick up in unfortunately like melyas, not a faint of CIDER at all, hey wo're in oh I'm, workoing to EP also like ive kind, O hopped on to aselter bandwagon, yeah yeah, I so wate. Does that mean you've beenhaving white claws? Well, yes, and no, if like, if we goout to a bar and and that's the only Sulto, they have, you know tfor whiteclaw, but I kindo like I feel like there's so many on the market. Now Iind O juss like trying them all a lot of breries. A lot of breries are makingthem now us, yes, e, even locally, like Saint elmo's, Oscar Um Ilker brewingjust released some that I really want to go pick up. Oh shoot that reminds mewas a visible pick up beer fom loke today I forgot they probably drink it.You know how they are. The owners are als on the top Oras Awsomand everything that they brewed is delicious, Os imatic Mon. Do we have to?Is it just austinbear basberries H, no do do wherever you pobaby ember, Rase M. Second, I really like Vista brewing outM in the dripping springs area. I think they are bhenominal their Um there. Dark skies is one of my favoritebeers and the Lasbo, not least I' going to have to go with a Miami brewery thatI wish I could go to every single day. It's called the Vesa Sore and it's aLatin inspired brewery, and so they do a lot of Um souers and, like Juicy Fruity Beers, with a lot of Latin fruits that I just think are phenomenal. I wish we hadsomething similar. I know there's a lot of breweries that kind of play aroundwith that here in Austin, but none that are like specifically just that I willsay you should, if you like, that, go to Esler Street BURLIAN and San Antoniothey're, like Letyinow, less yes, yes, yes, I've been all their beers are likebased off of like traditional, like Latino snacks and food and like theyhave l e guts, a contia like stout and Um. Oh my gos, I'm gonna Buc, all thenames, I'm just not going to say it, but like they're like the superist cool dudes, you know yes, yes, it's a culbereanlot. What about you CA? Okay to me M. RELEAE is car to get around but still without being said,no matter what they say. I tend to like,...

It's like a Golden Ale that was brewed with coffeeand kind of it's like a yellow beer, nosis really light, but it like tasteslike coffee, and it reminds me of a nice coffee actually. We live right down theblock from the north location, as we werethere, probably a couple of times a week and finally, Um thisbery was staritwoalums of my favorite Brery, one of haberis Um Al sebere works, but SaintEmo's or Saint Elmo down south. I love recommending people that, becausethere's Osto like in the same little strip, there's like a whisky distillery,a winery, a coffee shop yet and one of the best food trups, an ofo. Thesoursoft is worth there and they come out with new beers every Friday. It's agreat place, O wline, music, entertainment and yeah.
