From the Vault: Food Photography, Puns, and Live Football with Jin Laqui

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

It’s a spirited Chicago episode from the vault, y’all! I’m joined by Jin Laqui, a blogger, social media maven, digital marketing expert, and all-around badass who, like me, grew up in the Windy City. And we’re recording while the 2019 Thursday Night Football game between our beloved Chicago Bears and the visiting Dallas Cowboys plays in the background.

Luckily, you don’t have to be from Chicago to enjoy this podcast. Jin shares how she got into writing and food photography. And as we’re both fans of puns, it seems like a great time to jump into the magic that is the O. Henry Pun Off.

I have a cartwheeling story, too! Neither one of us is great at cartwheels, either – but hey, they’re still therapeutic to do. Plus, remember playing calculator games in school? We’re covering so much stuff in this episode!

Good people, cool things, an podcastfeature and conversations with entrepreneurs, writers, musicians andother creatives, get inspired by their stories to do your own coal, fith andhere's Hor host showwy help it's a spirited Chicago episode. We recorded it, certainly before clubhouse even existed, but as I'm saying, this gin was the one who invited me toclub hause. I used her invite to get on the platform. So thank you for that Jid.Luckily, you don't have to be from Chicago. You don't have to be aclubhouse expert. You don't have to be really a social media expert, but alsojust a blast to listen to we're chatting about remember when you usedto go to baseball games or really any sporting events sit next to fans andembracing the hatred. If you were the the visiting team going to do all that,we're sharing our fund stories of that GIN has a super weird asmr thing shedoes with Takila. She also showes how she got into writing and foodphotography awards that she's won. We have a bunch of fun with puns, there'sjust lots of good stuff. In this episode S, I wanted to share it withthe good people cool things audience since hey not all of my lisseners herewere fans of Locally Source Jolian, you didn't even know it existed, butthere's lots of goodies and so we're going to have a blast from the past. That will also be cucer for the future got to work onthose rhymes, but here's the conversation with jade we're watchingthe bears game thisill this ill air several weeks after this game, but it'sthe bearst cotboys game from Thursday night football. We have turned down thevolume, so we don't have to hear Joe Buck and Troyahman Rattleo. I didn'trealize this until watching the first quarter of this game of Joebuck, somany times wi'll be like catches made by Gallop and it's just like saysomething else strove. I know he always has just like the same exact inflectiontoo in his voice stoff. It's tough he's fine for baseball, but yeah football. Not so much football. Give Me Kevin Harlin on the radio or Romo who's, great love, Rom, butdon't love the cowboys exactly how girls sorry girls, as they get a large complation compleer, but they're losing wenty four. Seven at this moment hey. You know what as aBarr Fan, Ta's great, especially when I was raised to like sorry cowboys fans, but to despise the cowboys. I think it's just an NFC thing. You know you'reS, fighting for that spot. That's fair! I do have an EME Smith Jersey up in mycloset right. I could have worn it and really Trao. That's fair! I mean that'sfine! I it is great o Jen. We I forced you to do an intro here of twotruths and a lie, and you said this should be really easy for me. So let'ssay: Let's Noy: okay, ready to truits and ALIVEOM. I can burp on cue. Myfavorite color is black and I'm an Austin Blogger. One of the Ausinbogger is one dinningme with the terrific name. Let's give a plug, let's get the plug out of the wayso right now, hinten Tano, my blog is actually still upon. Currently it'scalled the locky one as in the lucky one and my instagram is calleddigestions journal, which is a Pun, but that's just for now. Hint intant, sostay tuned feel like we're gettng a scoop here I likegetin scoops.Hopefully that's still the kiss by the time this SARS it'll be wonderful, I'mgoing to say...

...the burpon command is a truth. It isice. Can you guess my favorite color, then? If it isn't black, is it a comparable, dark? Color? No, Imean it's just a it's a primary color, okay, yellow say: No blue, NO RIGHD!There! You go third time in my heart. I was thinking red as well, but I was I was blinded by the bears. Oh, I know right. You had A, but youdid say, yellow first NI D as blinded by that Toqila, which alsoI'm also really surprised that you brought my favorite one, which isesbelone. It was just a guess. I don't know Caquila very well, but I was likeSpns, probably the choice, it's so great Toicatocila. If you never had it,it's very smooth. So I that's why I like it. Yes, I've enjoyed it, I'm notnormally a TIKILA drinker. Well, I'm glad you enjoy this one. Yes, we've been, we've been enjoying acouple different shots as the bears score. This is the most point toscordAl Sus, Oh my God seriously, like thankfully they're up against anyone atthis point. Jesus it's been like a you already feel. Like Thejo, it's been ait's been a stressful season. Again it has been yes it's I, I guess. That's alife or the barest fan. It's never never an easy one. No, IT'S NOTEVERYBODY! Last year, no, Oh, my go. The probably should be losing a lot ofthese games, let's not even get into that. We won't have to. But right now thebears are really the best Chicago hope for sports teams. You think so I meanwere the cubs. What are they doing? They got re e got off that talent. Theydid. They got read Jo Adin di jump out. It looks like the type of Guy'd want tolike crash my party. He just come in in like a sweater. He honestly Thouh. Heseems very just like that. Have a person where it's like you're, veryconsistent. So I know how you're going to be every single time moss you. Youknow yes, but they got. Oh, my God, I'm gonna, I'm goingna blank on his name. It's really bad GRANDPA. What's his name, the ColumGrandpa he's gonna be ha new manager. Oh my gosh. This is so bad jack GRANDPA.No, he used to be the capcher when they were they. Oh divid Ross. Yes,graprassy there we go. Oh my gosh, my yeah, Dikila and flame. It all on the TAQUILA. Have youseen the BERZAT SUVENIR company commercials? No, I o well have to interplice. Idon't know how well it'll be audio only, but if not we'll throw a liner, butit's Anthony Rizo and Chris Bryant starte, a Suvenir Company for all thehome runs they hit. That's the Brizo Suvenir company and there's they'revery funny. Commercials David Ross makes a Chameo and one of them Oh wait. These are old right. Okay, I've seen them whenever we were actually doinggood. Yes, that was when they were peak arid. Iduring the successful years. Oh my gosh, okay, so funny story. Actually, becausewhenever we did win, the championships will changeg two two thousand andsixteen we're still our twentys. Oh, my God,twely Sixintwen Siin, yes, soroh man anun a year. I know so. At that time Iwas living with two other roommates right who obviously, who are fromHouston, so they actually don't know baseball. Butat the time this is one like Chicago. I was like getting so nervous or whatever-and I remember like so Tis is game. Seven I was sitting athome and, like literally face fron in front of the TV everything right andthen like the the weather delay hit and I was likefreaking out. I had to take a walk. It was just so much for me and I was likeI can't deal with this right now and, like I mwere just sitting there afterthey had come back from the weather delay and it was like the last out. Ihad literally broken into tears. I need to find that video, because it wasabsolutely embarrassing and wonderful at the same exact time. It'sembarrassing because I wis just a...

...bowling, my eyes out and my roommatesdon't watch baseball. They had don't understand like the curse we had tolive with and just like the amount of emotional suspense that I've beenbuilding up for like forever, and the fact that I was able to witness a aworld series win. MUCO CAS, like the amount of motion was just like all overmy face. It was hilarious. Looking back at it now, because, oh you should see, I mean it was a pretty magical time. Itwas. I did not think I would be able to witness like a win by them such as thisI mean many. Many people did not know and, like Hai's been a hundred eight tosee two cups, Ro Ser, Oh my God, and I think it's also just for the fact that, like the build up for it too, like watching all like the people that hadlike their grandparents whoare like ninety something a hundred somethingwhohave been like talking about, like I just remember, being upset about allthe cubs wins and I'm like well we're witnessing one right now. Oh my gosh and like fasic memories likeduring, like the past world series to would hit me with, like all the fieldslike the last out feelings- and I was like. Ah I miss those days. Please cupscome back and win anothe Wi. Yes, all the three yearolds haven't seen acoupeol series very important hurtful hurt fullleron yeah they've been thelast couple. Worldsers have been very exciting as well: Oh theastras, Winninand then m well, Redsox last year was not very exciting. No, I didn't dueinto that one o the nationals. This year, just all the road teams winningyeah, which it's weird I think it's funny, though, because like now baseball is actually picking up as likea sport. People are like turning into because, like a Lotl of my friends, aren't really into baseball, but then Granit, it's more fun. When, like it's,your actual team, that's like trying to get into it. You know it's just likewatching it from like a atsidis perspective. Why also have a littlegoal in life to visit all the major league baseball parks- and I am at thirteen and an out of thirty there'sthirty clubs, really, Oh, some close. That is us. I hit up Seattle this yearand I feel like Oh yeah and the mets in the Yankees at the Yankees game. Theyplayed the Red Sox, big gravelry there yeah and the girl next to me was a redsox fan, she's in Red Sox, Parafphenalian, everything, the Yankeesstart off winning seven, nothing they're, crushing the red socxs andthen the red socxs hit a home run so tho make it seven one it's still notclose and she stands up and it's just like holding her arms up and justembracing the booze and everything and her her Jersey said like that they wereworld serieus, Champson, yeah, iteen, so she's, just pointing at it. She'slike world series champs everyone's like you're, losing seven to one she's,just like world series, and then she sits down. The next person hits a homerun as well. Seven two and she like doesn't react, and I like elbow her,I'm like hey, they just hit another homerun. Just stands back up and Joesthe same thing: Lik close heir arms up I was like, were you? Did you just likeDPROGRAM for a second the're like what's going on? Oh, my Gosh, you knowit's funny, though, is also just like a random goal that I have is to be asportsmeme, because you know how many of those fans are that are like theCrying Kid Oh yeah, my God, you know like and like th the crushing whateverspirits like it'd, be so funny to be an Internet meme just from being intosports. Like Sports Arena, Oh yeah, I think the I can't remember if it'sVirginia O Virgina Tech, but it's one of those schools where it's at the endof a game. The kid it he's like a college student he's just like head inhis hands like face down on the like edge of the stands there or whatever, and I remember, reading some interview with him where he was like yeah thecamera. I caught me doing that and then asked me to do it again because, likethey weren't sure if they got the shot, it's like, so I don't even know whichversion of the memin like what became the Mane. Was it the first time or thesecond time he's like, but I did it multiple times. I just kept my headdown for, like five minutes, no way. Fuck, that's got to be rough yeaike. You have the picture perfect moment. I...

...like the crying Pickalo player as well.If you remember that from Villinova, when they were a one seed and the NCAtournament like thousand and Fifteen Maye wothousand andfifteen thendandsixteen and they she was a Pickalo player but likesobbing, because they had just lost so she's playing with the ban, but likeOhm God. It was very precious and I believe Jimmy Fallin invited her on hisshow and gave her like a gift basket. Okay, so a mame! That's like anotherthing too! It's just like now, with like the age of the Internet and beinglike completely viral, like all the hosts want you on the show. Yeah you'dget your fiften minutes of fame. Oh my gosh, like what's the one with the thevans kid and he was like. Oh yeah, yeah he's damned aoer There Yoo and he likegot like a lifetime supply, and it's not even that funny, but also like.Could you like cover my student debt? That's the biggest thing! Oh, no, oh, what a catch h! Thank Godwe're also watching the game. Allan Robinson making catches. This man righthere gave hem the ball. Alan Robinson, the two I liked this is going back to. I guess it was Monday night football a little whileago, the Ravens and not saints man who was it is the it was the ravensit. Someone is the Ravens and they demolished a team, whoever they justbeat by a lot a couple weeks: UNCL. Oh, the rams is Ravens Rams gameand I just enjoyed seeing this that there were many. I like numberedplayers in the game, so there's marking room the second S, Robert Griffin, thethird there was someone the forsthe Irst. Even though he's s, let's not bring that up right. I guessit's time for another Toquila. Then there we go excellent you'll be incharge. Oh Gosh, you can get your Asmr practice. You said you wanted more of this. I cal just see everyone leavingthrowing their phones into the Trak. I was telling Joey earlier that, like so,I used to have really bad anxiety and how the fact that, like am our videos, actually Halme, put ing to sleep. You just kind of to find your thing. Youknow not everybody's into like mouth sounds or hairbrushing, but they have abunch of n before some people are. Youst is miyour thing et some more of it curs to the TRUBICcouchdown. Yes, his finest. Oh, that's bitiful! No, it's not!Because that's it and chase by high ball tellus about highball. So hiboll isactually this one, not sponsored not sponsor, but highboff. You want tothrow some dollar. I know I'm in you pretty commercial here yeah, so it's isjust as I'm not actually a huge energy dring jinker to begin with, like Idrink like one coffee a day and then maybe just like something at the likein the middle of the work ay just to keep myself Oka wait e h, Oh my Godyeah! Then we go just little bit of it, but they're sparkling energy water becauseyou know sparkling water selzer is all the rage right now. Righruly is AnnoLaws Wen your drinking claus. Also this commercialis very great notto cut you off. It's a pedigree commercial, where it's a girl whoappears to have been hospitalized from much of her childd, which is very sadand the doctor comes in and she's like like more treatment today and theDoctoris like actually we're going to try something different and then thispuppy comes in to just be like a therapy dog and the girl's face is justlike so happy better than any medicine. We don'tdeserve dogs. No, no, we don't deserve, go. Certainly do not. We've got twosomewhere around here. Where di they go. I don't know we'll probably hear thembarking at some point. I know, but...

...honestly this hyo energy, like I, I wertaking ot for the first time of being like I don't, feel anything and then Ichugged it and then afterwards I was like. Oh here we go and it's likenatural has like all like the natural like Jensingarana. It's on SwedenItssohek zero cows to, but it's just like it's a good kick and it's not toomuch, and I think the first time I took it was whenever I was going to prepareto like lift a do a deadlift day on my workoutsplit and I was like. Oh, you know what andit might be like a Pasibo thing too, but like I was like Oh, I can hit a newmaxiday which I did for one nice. Thank you, but I mean it tastes good. I likethe line one so far and the Great Foo one's good to and you joey you diddrink the. What is this one? A called the wildberry, yes, which, if you'reinto will you agree? If you like white clause, it kind of tastes like theBlack Jerry one, it does. I've only tried the block TRIWAC all one time andit tastees like it. It does see, but there's no alcohol and it's energy, andI like having these, though, like I have a lot of Hese in my fridge, butjust because like whenever I go out like it's an extra like kick and youdon't feel so bad. You could tolerate your friends, then yeah. Basically, andit's your couge, you don't feel so guilty. That's magical and, oh, I see abag of money. Just appeared right next to us. Excellent wor is backd, O dumptruck full of money dropped it all in once. I recently held the most moneyI've ever held in my hands. I catch some bonds in and it was several hundred dollars like in my handlike even in the thousands, but I don't want to want to brag about how muchmoney I got o the Ophans, but I'm just saying if you have children, put a bondin their name as soon as they're born and then thirty years later, wey'llhave some nice cash, but the woman at the bank was like here's just the moneyI was like. Oh you can just direct depositive she's like now. There's anam right there, so I have all this money and I like immediately went tothe ATM to deposit it and then, after I did that I was like I should havebrought that home and like swaming it and like I could have like thrown it upin the air and like bathe underneath because when you get to hold that muchcash in her hands, honest there's like just there's something just so I don't know if it's the Wor, I don'tknow t the reght word is like relief, but there's just or like a satisfaction.I guess in just fanning just like a bunch of money, ans, not to say thatit's just like a thige. We are ik fanning yourself with it, but I thinkit's just like so much like portraied in the media, where it's like. If I hadthe opportunity like hell, yeah fan myself with a stack of money, we'llgo GE, O magical, so you you teased that yourblog, maybe changing names. Is it also changing themes or is it just kind of anew nobranding? So I've been going through like a bit of rebranding. Justbecause I've been really trying to figure out like what, because, like thewhole blogging thing for me, started, I was just like a creative outlet becauseI do enjoy writing I used to write all the time when I was younger. I had likea bunch of journals, just like random stories of just whatever the hell camein my mind, and then I got into photography, andthen I kidd you not. The reason why I got into food specifically was wheneverinstagram first rolle out, I got a superlative from my one of thecollege organizations I was part of. They gave me a superlative for the mostlikely to do food porn and I still have it. They rit. They wrote it on a acrispy cream paper hat and I still have it like it's just like one of thosethings with like this is. I was meant for this. It's just like I it's just like one ofthose things but like it just came out as like, create like a creative alletfor me, and then I think you know, after going through like okay, what theHeck I want to do because there's so many things on my life thit just likewant to share like one thing being like food buth, then also being like part oflike this activebalance lifestyle and like being less on the fact of likerestricting yourself into what you need, because I obviously don't. If you sem MIntredm, I don't...

...but more so F, just like finding thathappy medium of like enjoying every aspect as much as you can, with thafocus on food and just like getting the body up and moving, because it's justgood for your health overall, you know yeah, but that's just like the Hin hintand also another hand, it's still a pun, so excellent, stey tuned. So have youbeen to the Ohemry Punoff? Okay, te? Someone has told me it might have beenyou, but someone. Someone told me about it, because they knew that. I was soindep. Honestly, I might have been Neu if it's you you should tell like. Ihave not been to it because sly tell them what it's the greatest thing. It'sthe the best free entertainment in Austin, I'm convinced every may they, the o Henry, I behind the OA Henry Museum they host them. UN off andthey've been n this more than forty years in Austin. So it's a big oldthing. I wrote a story about it, a freelance story, an Texas HighwaysMagazine check it out. It's called Pun, Pun, Bun, very delightful, and it'sjust there's two different battles to it. There's the Punsar Ponnyeston show, which is my favorite part, where people prepare a monologue and it's usually athemed sort of thing. So, like one year of the winner, his name is Jersey, which is a great name. He did all the countries in Asia in like a minute anda half to two minute, long Onalogu and there's a lot of countries in Asia, soyeah he routed through all of these very funny, and then they do punslingers after that, which is a one on one battle and kind of a tournamentsort of style thing where they'll be given a category. So it's like types ofcurrency or coins or something and then they have to just pun, bake back andforth OFA and it's you'll get some creative ones and you'lalso get some very bad one. Oh May yeah! So like someone, I don't know if it wasdou that encourage me to go to it or like to actually participate in. I waslike I'm, I love puns, but I'm not the one thite's a quick fire Pun like I: UYeah think about it. If I were to participat it would be pentyist an showfor sure, because you get to prepare that and can kind of like come up witha theme but yeah if it was like. If I got a category to that, I didn't know.If it was like Hey, do like star trek I'd be like spock thit's, all I got sogot yeah. No. I have to really sit down and think about a pin man, those somesome of those things have not come. Naturally, I wish they did, but they donot. So do you spend fifty seven minutes on a on an instagram post, getin perfectly fifty seven and a half got around up. I know I know. No, Ireally don't. Sometimes I I don't know like with Instagram is one of thosethings where it's like I'll. Do it, at least when I first tarted was likeLe Oed. Just do just do it and then, like now, you're like thinking aboutlike okay. What exactly do I want because yeah it's fun to have it as acreative outlip, but also the same time. I think for me personally, when I'mworking towards more of like a goal with something it becomes more moreinteresting to do it than just do it. You know, especially if it's not like aleisure thing for me, sometimes anymore, but like thinking of puns, I wish thatwas just like you got it. You got it. I got to sit there and think about it.Sometimes I' just like forget the PUN, here's a photo of rice- Oh my God,forget the Pun, hereis the captain in all caps. That's what I do. I just left thecomment on our friend time of Dray, who has also appeared on this podcastamless, pluck check out EUR episode, Love Eisode, Forty six. She did a askthe question like: Why do you think people follow you type of thing and Isaid something because I'm charming and charming and witty and humble, and thenI said sometimes I type in all capfs, which people think is good, and I knowwhat I'm talking about, because I'm all caps, which is true. Sometimes if youyell it's like a medium article. If you read something on medium and then youfold the one line yeah, it's like this lines by itself and it's Bollin, likethat's the important part thet's highlight that yeah, but see whenever Italk and like when I type in all caps like I am literally like, like you, should read that like veryimportant but lik, you do it for like six paragraphs in a ru veryoverwhelming, but also I'm just like a varytoust like...

...figery personality like it's Goinnacome out, and I think it's better. If you're reading it it's going to comeout better, an all caps for sure it's the way to do it right. I want yournext supposed to be full caps, though a hundred percent all caps all rightchallenge, ascepten can't call me out for it. I got I. Thisis a very side tangent, but one of my coworkers. We were doing a one on onevideo chat towards the end of the day. So very loopy. At this point- and Iasked if she'd do a cart wheel, it's like because everyone else at theoffice look like they were really in the zone. Hes, like do you think youcould do a cart will and anyone would notice and she was like no, of coursethey noticed. Then she looked she's like mactually, maybe not, and shetried to do it immediately. Everyone's head turned like what are you doing andAsshe's going back to her desk? I hear her say: Oh Joey asked me to do withCarbo Lik, don't throw me under the pone you own, that you did that on yourown. I was just feeling very adventures at the end of the day bthat she thankedme for doing a cart will inside she was like. I don't know the last time. I'vedone a cart will, but it was invigorating. I can't do a cart wiel tobe holding honest with you. I do a really terrible funny hop. I do aroundand off. You can't do that to cerrible bunny hob tea. You DemonstrateRight now. Can I give a live narration of you trying now, because I think you'd break some yeah yeah there's a lot like there's a lotof space inher we yeah, we can love stuff, but also at the same time. Ijust know myself, I'm a hazard to myself. Okay, I broke a classic fork, so cutting a carrot, so I'm simultaneously laughing at thatand what just happened on the screen, which was a man falling Howt, which Ialways enjoy as someone that also falls down a lot. So did you ever playfootball? I played flag football before okay as far as organized professional.Well, no, I didn't play any professional sports as far as organizedlike high school and or collegiate, it was mostly basketball, nice T, so I'vealways been into football, and one of my very first memories of football isactually in elementary school and so I've always been up as like a tomboyright, and so all of my best friends even to this day,are still guy friends that I have, and I remember vividly that it was recessin like second or third grade one of those, but I had a girl best friend and a guythats from the sae at the time right and I wanted to go play football withmy guyfriend and one of my the girlfriend was like. If you go playfootball, we're not friend, and I was like all right piece out, defarmed herinto the tour and I just played football, and it's just like one ofthose things, and I I just like it's one of those sports like I'm not thebest at it. I only play defense because I have no hand I coordinationwhatsoever, but it's always just been one of those things that I just likelove so much and I've always loved it thanks dad but yeah. That's like one of my veryfirst vivid memories of football is being told. I'm not going to be yourfriend if you go play and who knows what that girls doingthot honestly, I still kin of keep in Oti, like kind of keep diming keep inTouchi Hun. It's like one of those things where it's like. I see you onlike facebook, because I follow you as a friend or an intragingbecause ofalways a friend, but we're not like chatting everyting but to the guyfriend, who is still my best friend this day. He remembers that story, sohe'll know it I'll shor. This podcast actualan know it excellent hoim towritand subscribe yeah. I remember many football dat likeAgan, never playing organized football on playing some sort of intramerralYeah College and then playing Austin, sports and social out here withterrible officials. But it's fine am like player. WHOs players who also takepays Wik Er to sex seriously, but even just playing like during college duringyou know, like a winter break or something we play Mi. Just like a bunchof friends from the neighborhood, and I remember a friend of mine, breaking hisfinger, trying to catch a ball one time, and then he told me at the hospitalthey're like all right, we're going to...

...count to three we're going to break iton three. They were like one and just broke it right away Goy, so he was likeso that caught me off gardend. I wasn't prepared for it, but he recovered wasit just because, like it was already on the verge of breaking so they just likewas just like yeah. They broke it to like reset it yeah. It would be likeyou could make it normal again, but I also remember one of my favorite NFL plays is when ateam is like less than a yard from a touchdown, we'll give it to the runningback and they'll just jump over everyone and like extend the ball out,and so I was like. Let me try that on a play when we were playing this game, and so I tried to jump over everyone and just immediately got like pushedback, so I didn't score, but I was still had the ball and we would play atackle and I hadn't been tackled or anything so then I just like threw itto the quarterback Huh and he ran in for a touchdown, and I was just likeYeh, so I got my I got my experience of trying to jump over. Everyone did notdo it, but we still got a touchdown, so those players are always so funny, though, like even like whether or not is professional, because, like it's literally sometimes it's literallyfifty pitty because, like you'll either make it or you'll just get pumpled andpush back just a Molliso they'll. Just like tap the ball away and t like howyou fumble an you were an inch from sqaring and you threw it away. Oh mygosh, just like Dack, throwing it that's fine, it's not UEALA good pass. It's fine burs are up by seventeen. With ten minutes left I mean it's nine. The chances of them blowing this are still probably pretty good. You knowwhat it's like the same thing with like watching Texas, it's like fourthquarter heartbreak, every single time or like fourth quorder heart attack, one of the other. You know it truly is at least they're, not the chargers. Idon't know if you've been following their season at all, but at least atthe time of this recording again by the Tim. This goes live. It might be acouple weeks from now, but they've all of their losses have come by sevenpoints or less, and that's just got to be really frustrating if you're achargers fan yeah. That honestly has to be, but you know what's funny, is that sothis year I decided to play fantasy and I havenplayed fantasy since high schoolWoa, because whenever I played it the first time I was just like. Obviously, I'm way to competitive one, fair and then also to like, because of my competitiveness, if I kept losing, Iwas just like I'm not a sore loser, but it just made it really hard to watchfootball leisurely because you're sitting there watching, like all thegames at the same time and being like, is my guy in. Is He fin and, like? Ican't just say here, just watch like I just like I love like being able to siton a Sunday with a pizza box open and just like flip through and just like, wait and see. What happens first is like sitting here and like stressingout over, like is my player in. Is he not hat Adia and, like I lok culd, younot have not been able to sit down and Leisurely Watch football because I'vebeen in fantasy, and I have this- that's why I don'tlike tats. I know, and I told all the guys ind I craned, I'm also the onlygirl in this league. I told them. I was like do not ask me to play next yearbecause I just want to wash football and enjoy it. I like. Okay, I get it ifyou're not like there's like two sides, O story WHERH, it's like yes, you canalso be into it if you're into football already, but then also, if you're notinto football, and you join fantasy, it's more fun to watch it's a game moreof a game with fantasy. But for me I'm, like I don't want to Fik and watch. Idon't want to be stressing on oever how much money I'm losing, because I justhot non on playoffs. No, thank you next. Can we ask who your top pick was?Honestly? I Don' Nemer my wo. My number one was I was so stressed out. I wasbecause, like I had one of my work league, which I for like completelyforgot about honestly, have not touched it sinceweek, one this one. I don't remember who it was,but I will tell you that my team name is runs like a girlie fitting right toGirlia, who has also been very upsetting this entire season and buthe's one of the number players from that game, though Ta Gerle the Second,Oh, he is yeah yeah, but very inconsistent. So that's Howi'm M,upsetting, I'm sorry yeah! I know it's fine everything's, fine yeah I hadMichael Thomas is my second round pick,...

...who has been the most consistent? Mysweet, beautiful boy sense. That's my friend to but yeah he's been delightfulyeah. I'm trying to think I honestly don't know, but I do the one thing thatI do remember from the draft order was that I was seventh in the snake roundcause. So I was like this, like the I remembe thinking out. The first personthat I wanted t off was Khishmcgraphry and I wish I did he was easily taken bythen I imagine that yeah or sure yes, he was very. He has been very good. Oh,my God, I wish I got him think I had the seventh pick, two SOM of theireighth. I mougd have been eighth yeah and it was snake rown and I was likethis is not fun. Well, it's not fun if you're, first or last in that, becauseit's just such a long weight in between and you're like, I could go yeah well.I was like sudden I's a bunch of cats like this. I think I was like seventh out of, likeI think, there's like ten people in our league. So it's like not the verybottom, but on the middle, so you're still waiting yeah like I didn't get myfirst round pick, there's no way duvstacked op steady. I know. Thank you.Why you do the auction style see, but none of these guys wanted to do it TAT's, because they they just Shan it.They wanted snake, and I was like fine, I'm not going to win this argument.Let's do snake I'd rather play snake the calculator game. I was amazing at the game not to to myown horn. It sounds like you are maybe a little bit. I miss that stuff, thesekids, these days, not no snake, er calculator games, don't Hav. I did seea gift of someone playing snake and they got it to the point where it'slike. The whole screen is the snake yeah and I don't know I've, nevergotten that far. No, that's T, that's abot, usually ded yourself, yeah withlike most like half of the screen I'd say is probably the closest I've goten. Then I just accidentally turned the wrong way. What are you thinking likecalculator skin because screen? Because I'm thinking no Kia screen like no yeah?I was a smaller screen. I was like Nokssiz so yeah and they got it sowhere it was like literally like one Pixel Yeah there's. I don't think I'veever made it that far go yeah. I just get nervous and accidentally, Oh yeahdrop the phone Tomuc too much. I did have a calculator game. I've certainlytold this story on a podcast. Before I don't know. If it was this one, therewas a game called beer hunter, which was a a game where your goal is to get asdrunk as possible. You've tried to raise your BAC and you could do iteither via going to a party and drinking or just like. I think youcould go to a bar as well like there area couple different options of likeraising your BAC on a calculator yeah on a calculators. All text based, there's no graphics to this game, and then you could go to while you're at aparty. You could pick a fight with someone to make money and then buy beeror you could rob houses and by beer and the only way you could quit the gamewas by losing, which was either getting beaten up in a fight or gettingarrested by the cops. While you Tryi to rob a house, but sometimes you try torob the house and you could either be successful and get all the money or youtry to rob the house. The cops would come, but you'd get away so you'd getsome of the money or they'd arrest you and you'd lose, and if you got to a onehundred BAC, which is like what six thousand times what would kill you likevery high yeah, you could buy a brewery and then you win the game doing that, and I was in a class playing this game incollege one time and the teacher was tied. It was some sort of like you know, marketing or advertising sports class, and he was like giving an equation. Hewas like Joe you've got your calculator out. Can you do this equation? Real, quick and it was like you know, sevenseventy, three, fifty six dividedby n hundred and eighty nine or something so in my head. I'm trying todo this long, devision, real, quick, because I can't quit the game and Ilike kind of give a guess that ended up being like twelve hsand, digits off andhe' like he said like yeah, that's right and then Hewas like wait. No,that's not right, and then he called another kid who had a calculator and hedid he's like. Actually it's a this answer and I was like thanks Damien, Iwonder if kids these days know that,...

...like if you plugin your ti three, youcan get games and like do other things that you probably shouldn't, do anugegulator, but it's doable. I'm sorry! What are these othergs? I don't likeokay! Well, you can cheat on Desye. Don't do that though she tings bad yeahbut then also like I don't. I always wonder that now, like looking back atthe things that I did 't in like high school and college, like just likeusing the TAA three like not even like on the physical calculator itself, but, like you know like how there's like the cover on it and, like you know, writingwith the Ken Yeah Pencil on the cover and then like shoving it yeah likestuff, like that. I wonder if kids do that these days, don't do that, butyeus other ways to cheat. I feel like a lot of testare just online now, likeyou, take it at home and Goback, and it's just like it was what your scorewas. That's tues, like I coal, just look that up. I know I don't know howpeople do these days. Thank God, I'm not in school, Ontestlya thought aboutit like after I had graduated, and I was like Hm. Did you ever have a laptopin school or was that that was past my time now we had laptops but like had laptops but like not during testing, but then again I was still even thoughwe you could take like your lafepress out and like take type written notes.Whatever I still like to handwrigt mine there's just like something more likesatisfying about writing it down yeah. I, like it, yeah ye h, doing the work.Es Watch trebrisky on Yo, throw another player that was actually a decent, throw. He had hands anthre Miller it popped off. His chest should have caught it. When I waswatching baskeball growing UF, there was a player called Anthony Miller, whowas very large and his nickname was pig, O h's anthe pig Miller, and I alwaysthought that was very funny he's in the movie space jam. If you watch that, Ilove that movie, when the Lakers are refusing to dress and they're outside he's one of theguys that talks, it's him and Fladi Divach, and that is your obscure Trivia. You know they're making one wit shack with Lebron, Oh fa, Ga to my God. SorryI just back was an uncle drew. That's sorry, yeah! I think I was just likeWat. I was watching this video today and it was on twitter about like howslar there's this new trend on tick tock, where you like. Have your phonelike facing up and you like, throw optects in the air and like see if ithits you, Oh and so, naturally, right and so shack was on here and he was like hewas doing it with something and then out of the blue. Someone just likethrows an egg, an his Ha and it's the most larioust thing. He hasn't, he hadno idea Wa's coming and it's probably like top ten experiences on this likeon NBA love me some shack.
