Ifthey don't know who Chinamarley is, let him know they don't knowCiomolchiomarli, I o now rising artists like independent and I've been grandedfor years, started rabbing, ear, age, kid. You know, I love computers andtechnoligy. I love music. You know, I got six kids wife, you know like I'm,basically Cinomardis a family man and a beusiness mare as I do. You remember the first songyou listene to where you were like. Oh okay, I like this yelike like like the first thone thatmade me, want to rap MHM. Oh yeah, it was. Ah It was AH little rain, the hotboys it was on Lotboy e, h, ah h, the hot girl song. I need a hot girl.Oh was eb girl that what made me start Wano rap afte. I heard e Wino, Lok andTurkmirth. That made me like really like toning, like Oh yeah, that's whatI awesome awesome and like we're talkingabout you've. You've had a lot going on in twenty twenty, just droppd theactive music video before that the high music video, which both I think, stylistically songwiseand videowise, two really different sorto feels on there. Can you Kinda ta,let's start with high, because I think that music video is fantastic, there'sso much going on it's so colorful. What was the process like I for for both thesong and putting the video together? Well for the Ong for process or the son?I was sending my studio one day and you know I I smoke weat asball a lot of wee.You know so I'm just seing right ow and...

I'm hiing, I'm like the be the beat was just playing- and Iwas just joking around like and my cousin, like that's five. Sohewas like you need to Tur to make that a son. So I just thought you know:There's there's rapinant, I like it actually was free style before it wasactually made so like, and I just tar ratin and they like man, that'll, go oecold. That's a tight like so like for Iyou, like any type of person who gethigh, whatever wit theohi ills. That's the song right now and that re the likemade me like Howam, I producer like Ye. I want Ta Drop Bis, a went to thestudio and- and I dropped it like it was just like it it. It was a high plusforint process. 'cause. My engineer was like ma: You got to get them Niks, yougotta, hit them notes and I, like Oh, an like well it. It was a foreign process. Iloved the process of making that Song 'cause. I ain't think it was going toturn out as good as it did and then, with the video we actually inl, a in the video. The video was S in l, a IWE walk around La me, an my producerand I'm just wrapping him with my beer, Sorappingin Wili, I bete article CA,famious and the guys thet make cartoon videos call all for man dot com. Theymake a lot of rock and roll like videos t at what made me reach out to May mymelagee retail, to Hem 'cause. It's like they. Ah they make videos that that pop to theAye F, like they pop to the eand th, they really be if they tin, like I, ittook me on y little minute like go three four minutes, but I didn't knowhow that video was no turn out because we shot the video an real life and theyturned us to a cardoon right. So I salute him Tay that was hol like I didn't think itwas going to turn out like that, but they made it turn out like Wer just popout at you, and especially if you hade, like you really tuned in yeah, I I agree. I think I'ncouping I'sa great way to a great way to put it, and did you have any sort of input asto like? Oh, you know. I want this coming up on this one scene or was itjust like you trust them? I had and no input. I like, I sai. I 't know how toBideo was going to turn out. I just know they did they thing like 'cause, II I just know. I talk to 'em on what I want Dong to the video, but I ain'ttell them how how Ho like how they got its secrets. I Ait they did that on. They ow they they dideverything on the own. I just shot the video and sent e to footage and theysent back the cartoon video. I trusted Hem 'cause. It came out nice 'cause. They do some real good work. They do real good work, especially when they'redoing rock and roll video yeah. It's always impressive to seethat when you've got like an idea in your head but you're likeI'm, not sure how this is going to end...

...up and e C nd, it's it's better thananything. You couldave, I told Hem I tolote hem because, like hey like, Ididn't expect it to turn out like that 'cause I didn't know how they was goingto do it. Li I told E. was s real light? Foote anthey Turk Eto a part to likeeverything that we be doing in e video idid that in real light like and theytracked Te Toa car to. I feel like that was d. That was really adult, yeah, very impressive everyonelistening. If you haven't watched it, go check it out. It's and I I think, enjoyable, even if you're not high, but yeah, that that would add another leaerto for sure. If you're, not HIG, it gon make you wanto get higweone look. If I was at and then your active music video justdropped earlier this month, and largely it's it's mostly just you hanging outwith friends just around was that Atlanta, O your filman okay e aloud, acouple of places yeah that was that that midio Sho rightther, like that media was one of the videos I had. The most energy like the energe is all the way up thereright. I love the FAM in that Mideo 'cause like I went to the top of theroof, and we had a lot of energe me and my friends like we had a lot of entergyn that othe director Zodo. He was dudoand tat like they were saying, dothis and do that you know, and it was just pers. It was like a perfect shoot. It was a real, perfect suit, like they had it all Meppe out and it wasfreestyle like it wasn't clean like three days Aher that e same day. That's how that, likeeverything was carrying ovr with I ad you've got a couple of things. Ithink that stand out is in some shots, there's masks being onsine, we're stillin the middle of the pandemic, and I just your your choosen really whol like fash itthroughout that I thinkr very impressive. How do you consider thatlike going into it of like? Oh, I want to make sure I'm given this. You knowwearing this at least in a few shots, and getting some good good looks at itor is it just kindof like I feel like we're in the CIDAY? It was like youknow like 'cause. Now they gave me a title. They called me the King Godrip,so it was like I got. I you know neet got to match them stand ut like if theythey give me the tite. I Gos, you know, look good. I got a JOK, so I had tosauceit down drip it down. If I like had to put Onteo e going to stand outto the Nike and when I had on yo like bright collors alway paying Ou. If youwant to stand out, get you some highlighter colors get to outfit withsome highlighte clolers and Iguarantee gont stand out 'cause, that's what mostof my compyments about thei video is...

...about what I got on like and that's tat'. That, like I put that together on my own, like this, that's basicallylike almost like a six seven hundred dollar out fori niceness yeah. It definitely stands out.So I had to stand out and do what to do like and then in the so I'm saying Icould teach you about fashion y. so, like I had to show 'em like hey, I canreally teach you about Fastan if you pay a tit good, cordinate, Colicor, Nice, Nice. Now I want to go back to something that you said about how you've spent yearshustling, grinning and making a name for herself which the music industry, obviously a littledifferent than it was before. We were born goming back in terms of how you'rereaching fans how you're connecting like even touring is a little differentthan it was back then. So what have you found to be successful in promotingyourself right? What I've found to be successful is the Internet liht. TheInternet is to win win like basially. If you end up Yon No inependent artsand you trying to stay Inepenan, you got to know what to do on the Internet, like it's cool, to have a physical prisons and stuff, but now we got thequarantine going on with the CON. So you know it's not like, like a lot ofstuff's, not going on like that, like that, so is best to be able to promoteand market heurself disually on the Internet. 'cause. That's how I dealwita lot of things that I got going on like I got out there in the phiscalworld, did a lot of stuff and posted and pushed and stood and stole seller,CDs and stuff. But the best way to me is the Internet 'cause. If you can getthe Internet to really like migrate to your countent and what you got going onyour whole movement like when you personal people going to start callingphysically to thust, come out and you know, link with them and stuff 'cause. This hadbeen going with me like, like I came down here, I've been living inAtlanta three years and afas Yer. I worked. I workedsixteen a hour job at a warehouse ae that I told myself. No, I'm not goingto work no more. I GNTA go fool players with the rat and that's what I'm Gontado. So I told her Bos mow. I was like Y O. I quit he was like wow. I was like Iwan O. I want to pursue my dream. Raq caree and he was like okay. Andhe gaveme a bonus like for my last check en told me. He believe I so after that, I'm like okay et. Let me find a way WH.I can get myself like 'cause. I already got a name inBirminghill. I God, if I had to find a way to get a name enjoy an an so I waslike I did. A lot of researching on the Internet. Did My internet thing, videoat the video instan ground promotion,...

...outwo promotion, facebook promotinglike spitify Aton Promotion? I Di everything that I needed to do and itbuilt me to the point where I don't have to work or not. If I had no morelike I'm living from, I rote I gew up. Actually it pays the beils you know andall that your feeling like- and I will that come from having a strong Internetprisonce, because if you have a strong Internet present, that's how you getyour money to your scrings with therames and stuff like it's. Okay todo shows, but you can make you can make the same amount of money doing showswith ther strings and that's how I look at it like. I feel like digitally theInternet is the best way to market and promote everything thats coming up these days, even not dealing with music, but anything you're not doing oh, an owbest way to promote a market. To me personally is usily Nice, and you mentioned a lot ofplatforms. Are U to spotify face SBOK INSCRIME. Do you have a favorite out ofthe bunch or is it just kind of beyond all of them to to really wget GE musicout there? My favorite is Tistogron instanground, because, like I, when I moved O, I wasn't really likebeing on instant ground, but then, when I started really just focussing on intheground like ister Brown is logic, Wehat, a lot of love and a lot ofpeople. You know really pay attention like FIS book Jus for family andfriends like Jist for homeins and family milmos. No, I wouldn't sayfasebook is Pan Forreal for real, but Mer gram gave me Myjoy to of my fans like helped me be del. That's why Ilove Intebrian. Togram is one of the best no social size. I right now. Nice. Have you been using the reels? Iknow instrecramts pushing that hard, so I've been using the reels. My Real'sbeen doing good at first, I didn't know what it was and then my son sold me. SoI'm like okay, let me do some reals and stuff. Like you know with me and mykids, we got a d page where we are going to be doing where we've beendoing a little bitdyos and rels to songs and stuff. You know my boys, mykids, they a they were out too. So it's like you know, there's all this aroundne to Mus it, and you got that good market research with them too, of what they're their age group is intofor sure got a good market research because, like I'm like I'm like push on the show, Iever have to stop the Rep. I got four boys that know how to Rup and got lotof Saucean Dri, like they dad they're young. So you know I can put all mymoney in all my time and energy behind hem. If I was tabl like stop and justsay, Hey, I'm done with the REP...

...is that in in the plans or just way offin the future like is, is Anifutu like a a I get to well, I'm going I'mdefinitely bringing my children out I'mdod. I, like you know some people try tokeep their Turgh and heating and stuff, but the world gotto know my Chisen. Mychisen are famous without you know like they're, just real, like they're realpeople like everybody Lov, my criden like so like. I really feel like mytree- isn't going to be the next whole time meon I was in the family. Iig O awesome awesome all right. Let's go to your grobology volume one. Can you kind oftake us through? You talked a little bit about the writing process with hi Iwas it. Did you have kind of a standard process throughout by throughout thethe making of the record, or was it more? I sort of on a songby song basis, you kind of found a a different winning formula for each like it was song bysome basiss like like I was going to the studio every weekend. Just drippinga lot of songs and me my Menad, I prodo. So we we got together, listened to a lot of'em and we picked out the twelve songs that we felt like they can stand andthatill do their thing on on on the Dallegy Mistat. So no that's basicallylike it wasn't o real process for a dip alergy. It was just like in the studioevery weekend know just dropping song, dropping songs and ten, like okay, Liis drop somen to let empos know I've been working. So you know we came upwith drewpology asially. It wasn't no process. It wasjust like all like hey just done and do this spurr o the moment type stuff Mike.I J actually was a spar of the moment, type tape to get out 'cause. We reallydidn't like we really Didt, we planned it, but itwas like okay, we planned and then we went on and did it, but it wasn't nolike okay, three months of hell or four months ahead of of time, bfore we plannlike I was just in tha studio every weekend and some hot songs driving heatdriping heat. So we went through a category we tryd to know mix it up, because we want to put Ollthe heat or one one ct so trid to mix it up and know all flavos all differentgeneruls. You know drip outof. I believe I it's like it's showing youthat, like my vers atility, like 'cause, all of them songs got a different field, different ride and a different, sound tool and from from start to finish, how longwas that whole process like fom start to finish? It was like a good, a goodfour months, a good formot and the name volume one gripology volume, onesuggesting there's more to come. Are...

...you just do in a volume too? Or is thisgoing to be a whole series of mixed ats? Coming out? It's going to be sears'cause, it's like you know, I'm Teachg, I feel like they're like Ou know, I'mI'm a teacher o the JER. You know like 'cause. I talk about my real life, butin a way you Gan bouced to it Dans and g. You feel like it pology likebasically teaching you how to speak on kings. What do it Wdo w doing it spodoing with a lite baze you an like, then you like, if you're going to beserious ECAUSE. You know you got a lot of reps that rap about their life andbe so serious to the point. What Peo be like man, I'm just I don'teven want tolisten to that. You know but y. If you do it, you talk about olight, but you seers, but you haven't fun with it y. u you bunt a little EADto a little sous to it. They're like okay. I can wronk to this okay yeah. Hesaid he was spruggling, but he said that Wa we w we swead with salts with drilk, likeit's basically like I wan to keep the volumes going to teach people like you, know real music, real musing like it's like. You got a lot of repers thatstuck in like like they wrapped one way they rite one way. They only know howto make one particular type songs. You know- and I want to change that in thegame like you know, be versartized ts, because what other people say or theyfeel like. You should arap this way. It's your career, you you, the artistyou, the Creator, be versatile. Your family show these people that you gotmore telitant Teli than what it think you do like, and that s was my wholeiject would drip out of teba one to keep it bborn to like show these peoplelike hat yeah, you you, you just ain't, no street wrap or no gister rap for you,you trying to deb and Dan in all gyms nd. I think, both from a a listenerperspective of like Oh okay, he's got he's got multiple talents out here, butalso just for yourself, like you, culd bore doing the same thing all the timeyou gotta you gotta, keep it buried y. You gotta keep Esit et just like arelationship. You gotto keep your relationship to sighting between youand your woe. You ow it's GOINGTA, get dry. That is real th, that's reallylike, and that's how I look at it with my rat or real. Like you know, everybody a lot of rupeusts had the same repetitive, sound and chance andstuff, you know, be different, be be different. Make youself sound to weaterpoint what Peoe will be like? Oh okay, I I can really listen to him like youknow, and they won't compare you to or the Rep or like I get compared to otherwrappers, but it's in my own style they're like yeah. We know thats you,but you know the way you act your whole percernal, like we, you remind us offuture, but it's not like cause of myself. I like that. I, like therelationship of music, analogy: That's good yeah, that's real th that that'show I look at my music 'cause. You know...

...you know you got just like you loveyour women. You got to love your music. If you want Tho most attral women, yougot a Lowway, love or heart. You won't most atual music. You got a litte bitlittle bit hard and it's going to pay so SPANON SOSPAN on now. I always likeasking a musician. This 'cause, I think it's it's fun to reflect, but what wasthe worst gig you ever played the worst way. I have to say, like this,no spot that I had did at Berminham and it was like you know. The guy called meOt to and book me and he's Supposeo been paying me like four hundreddollars. That's what we had gree up on and when I got out there. It was likedead like when nothing organized went not to go on the right way. Th peoplehad to clot was tripping and, and he would shout on money and now some stuffthat had happened in the cool got dangerous and I'm like O. I never do this. I was I Y.I was in my own CITA. I was in Birmingham Otabout. You know I was inmy own city, you know and that's that's sad man. You know I lowe my Siti, butnow I you know thats, that's becal somebad. I got to stay away from Y e.That does not sound, enjoy it's alw, it's always rough. When you get thereand they're like not expecting you or like no s you like you like, so youdon't know H, I was coming to do this yeah I no! No! You need to get in touchwith. You need a talture you're like no man. I can't go that that Red Thoug. No,I will never do it again. That's why all artists make sure you have aperformance countract. So these folks coand know exactly what to require whatthey require to Havl for you to com to thei club. Like make sure that's realbig makes you, you have a performance country and if they don't have it, youcan take 'em to court 'cause. You don't want to be out here doing AL, listen, iputting, Oul, this energy and work and spending your money. Hen Go to the CLOBto find out. You've been Swindin, so you know, God put that on put it onpaper. Every time Somi try to come and get you do something tell he ut it onpaper eat MIT. I teee that way. You already know hey. This is what'ssupposed to happen. This is what theyre supposed to give me and if they don'tstick to it, okay you'll see my lawgen hat's good advice for really anythinglike artists musicians switeris than anyone out there make sure you get ithim rinting his real you Gat toge to do right, 'cause they it's bad. I herdealing with these cluthes an like you know you a got a a huge name likebine spans. They really try and they' be trying to pull one over yeahabsolutely and that actually brings up an interesting point and you kind aftouch on this a little bit earlier,...

...with the Internet being a bigpromotional tool. Obviously we're in the middle of pandemic concerts, probably on hold U'til Twentan Twenty one. At least you think that the the sort of livemusic scene's going to Kindof go back to how it was. Or do you think, there'sgoing to be some ships out there? Now I don't think nothing don be exactthe hiwars out e, the corona leevs 'cause, there's like peoples teal like humans, humors are just like we're sen, Eina species. So lot ofpeople like it's going to go back like it's lot of storeare going to be pipedup, but people are not going to feel the same they'r like tha. It's going tobe kindof hard for people to just Gat to enjoy theirself like at a largecrucert, because you still don't know like okay. They say it's gone, but youstill don't know if hit's still out there, then so everybody I feel likeeverybody going to be timid at first. You know you know they're going to betiminet person like people like people, Gon Na still be weiging. Ms Asks They'rnot going to want people to touch them or caugh for sneeze, or you know 'causelike when you go out now. It's like you know you look like you sick or anyfine people. Looking at you like you, like Youazandy, like Hey, get 'em upout here so, like I don't think like when, when when everyting pop back oute live, shows yeah, it's Goingto be next Il twenty twenty one, because thestarted right now now still I redi still like certain areas in the clubs. Youstill have to wear massest and all that so and they haveem Parkin lot concertsdown here. So I don't thin like like it's just going to go right back toNorth Eboy, get back to normally it's going to take time. Yeah A lot. A lotof people lined up against the walls trying not to make Oy CONTACTT eryone a lot of people go poses like smokinter, Pope Scrayan, trying to see if this person got soo, you said you're abig tecguy as well Soer. Is there a piece of technology? You have an APP orsomething that you think everyone should be on music related or not? Oh,let me see, let me see H, O long. It is out. Well, I don't know I use all the APPS, I'm on all te els ever ELP, you Coul PA.U Ch, NO MARLE ON IT! That just me I don't know 'cause, like I told the OmenTik here like I love, I'm, I'm so curious about technology. So I lovefinding out how things working hiw things operating. So I got a a lot ofelps on my phone. I actually got twophons niceness. Have you looked at your yourusage rates for all the APS, I'm afraid to do it. My ouse is raised. I I know for like mymy H. my social media, like Sociar,...

...like my screen, t be like six hours toseven hours and when you look at them, Yo like no,I'm not spending that much time. Looking at my phone like, and it makesyou wonder like Oh my God, but I'm I'm a artist so like. I understand why Ispend so much time, but you know I aske my wife, my wife Shes, pending a lot oftime, io Soo, metse, ow. She don't rap Onti Tso. I really believe, like wit, dothe whole world's been a good estimated porty six. I was therein atthey SPREENG, that's real! I cause I don't see like Idon't see. How could you even be like anywhere with so fo and not lookd at?It are two three minutes: MHM Yeah and it used to be to go to t it probablystill is for people like if you're in line and a coffee shopper like waitingto get lunch or something like instead of looking around Looka Lookin, my falway look at 'causeeverythingn is own. You know, Irtin result ofalls around the Internet nowou know, and that's that's that's that's. Why I' be telling like artists? If F, you do not learn the Internet like it's going to be horr for yourcareer to prospe. You know because, like the physcal thing is not no there's notno more forrefor like it's like, I got that put Alays time on the Internetversus a got. It me outside all the time at the clothe, the guy on theInternet, I believep before the Guy Tus outside hering, the clothes and themall. Absolutely absolutely! Is there any kind of technology coming out? Iknow apple had their big, keen out speech this past week or weekor two ago. I any anything coming out. wher you're like I need to get that.Well, I know Apple. Okay, it's it's! It's a like! You know like themacwo. They got like some little thing like that. The I can't think, but Iknow I got to get it like. Basically, you know they post have like a little hologram. That's what it is mm like a lot that theuh like it's supposed to be like a HolerGron, come after thing like that's what I've been looking at AE. You have to go,researches O know what I'm talking about. I don't I don't have like. Idon't know what the name that they was Calldin inso but like if they do it,it's goingto be. Do like it's supposed to be. Like two THOUSD, I mean twentytwenty two tweenty twenty third, but it's supposed to be like a holographiclike it's with the computer and e watc tit's, nice yeah. I don't. I don'tthink I know too much about that, but that sounds real cool yeah, like applelike APP, that's ow. I use like Alple apple everything so ithey they I'mbeing on like stuff that they be having...

...coming Ou. And you know they all. You know they. They all post alltheypost e mirrage. We all do a LITTL marriagment. I I can't even think tood uh its o. They pposed a marriage withanother, not like Mers, on no permateve type stuff, but just get together andmake something like like. Oh an a than good man wewish. I knew it. Man 'cause! I can'teverybody going to need it. I Thin Bot. I premise I think everybody going toneed it 'cause. Like that's what I do. I said: Okay, look that stuff like likedifferent tecks and new technology. That's coming out the way I feel likeokay, the whole world going to be on it, the whole world going to need that thewhole world goingto use that an amplelike really ben a lot of storslike if you go. You just got this. What I m tell just woapple, go to a websiteand just reath some of the stuff that they got coming up and you'll know whatI'm talking about yeah. It is impressive that not even just apple but like some ofthese tech companies, they the consist the innovation that they come out with, always impressine to say, like the PS fat, I gos te Hav 'Caus, that's o e, like it lookd, solike different, an dope like yeah I play games to 'cause. I got kids, an mykids are sitting here and gang for a whole day. We might have a Gamorday Wut,we just we 'cause. I got like three four gays in my house and we'll sit.Three four TVs in one room and everybody on a different Gan and justGan. You Know Soit, is what it is, but that's that's cool man I e. I I withthe technolgy, I'm the type person I like to take stuff away, take takestuff apart and re wise and put it back together in a different way to see whatit worked this away. What's your your favorite thing thatyou've taken apart and put back together, like like computers, ncpu, I I ittook part alot of CPUS in my life and put hem back together, trane out te, Hor drive orconnicting them to noother computer like before people started doing allthis. It's like were a computer can connect to another computer. I wasalready doing that when I was like twelve or thirteen. I think I was stillscared of computers. Man, that's when t it was all being in fat.Man Thet was e fat computers with the big screen and the bi. You know andeerything was being tad and like the original computers, where they're likethe size of a wall, I'm crazy, how fi would come we do asSOCIEA. We a grow a lot, but we gro ot to take Bo all right. Well, we'll wrapup with another music question you...

...kinda mentioned will wane earlier I, but always like to rap up with t a topthree and I'd love to hear your talk, three inspirations, my top threemusical inspressions yeah would be.
